Springtime in the East

I'm enjoying the springtime weather out here. This is Adam, Sam and Julia in the magnolia tree in the backyard yesterday afternoon. These three are munchkins and I'm so happy I've been able to be out here visiting them. Last night after they went to bed Amy, Andrew and I sat on the front porch and sang songs while Andrew played the guitar. It was pure bliss. Just music and friends.

Amy and I haven't done much painting but we have organized a few rooms, eaten some good food and had some groundbreaking discussions. All good times.

I'm having too much fun and now I remember why you go on vacation--to get away. I didn't realize how much I needed that. I can't wait to get home and plan the next trip.

The kids and the tree are beautiful. My Magnolia trees did not survive the last storm :{ They had just started blooming and now all the flowers are on the ground.

Isn't it great to get away? I bet it's relieved some stress from school and work! We're headed to New York this weekend for a little couple getaway. It will be my first time to New York, so I'm anxious! Have a great week!

Beautiful pictures and you look very beautiful in the bottom one. I guess vacations are good for you!! :) Is your friend moving? If she is, I bet she wishes she could take the tree with her.

You both look so beautiful! Your eyes are so blue. I can't believe how big Amy's kid's are. I remember when Amy was pregnant with Sam.

Christine--This magnolia tree bloomed beautifully for about three days. Then a huge heat wave hit the area and the next day most of the flowers littered the ground. I took these pictures the day the flowers looked the most beautiful.

Kristin--Isn't it pretty? I'm so glad I was there the week it bloomed.

Rozanne--It is priceless to get away. I hope you and Eric have a wonderful time in New York. Soak some of it up for me.

Ben and Ash--Me too! I'm so grateful for time away.

Aunt MJ--Yes, Amy is moving and yes, she wishes she could take the tree with her. It is really lovely and makes their entire backyard feel simply delicious. Plus, I'm so glad you think vacations agree with me. That means I must take more of them.

Rach--I know can you believe how big her kids are! Yikes. Sam will be ten this fall. I remember too when she was pregnant with him. Life progresses quickly, doesn't it?
